A dedicated server-storage device that links several servers to a single storage device via TCP/IP over Ethernet.
Storage Area Network
Multiple servers to read and write to a single storage device through a storage-dedicated network. Verizon offers a managed SAN solution on both Windows and Sun Solaris platforms.
